GGPoker Review
GGPoker has built the largest poker network outside the US by prioritising recreational player experience at every level of the product. The Ocean Rewards loyalty programme, anonymous table options, and sustained game health initiatives have produced fields that are materially softer than most alternatives at comparable stakes. Games run around the clock from micro through high stakes, with consistent liquidity at $0.10/$0.25 through $2/$5.
GGPoker's rake lands mid-table across the 19 networks in PrimeDope's database. At $0.50/$1 six-handed, GGPoker charges 5% with a $3 cap: competitive with PokerStars, more expensive than WPT Global's 4.5% at a $2 cap. For a player running 100,000 hands per year at that stake, the gap between GGPoker and the cheapest alternative is roughly $800-$1,200 in rake. Real money, partially offset by the traffic advantage.
Rake
GGPoker charges 5.0% / $3 cap at the most popular stakes. Use the table above to see how the effective rake changes across stake levels and how it ranks against other networks at each one.
Rakeback
GGPoker's loyalty programme returns approximately 25% of rake paid (Ocean Rewards (Jan 2026), 24-80% by tier). For a player generating $500 in monthly rake, that is roughly $125 back per month, and the figure scales directly with volume.
Bonus & Banking
Welcome offer: 100% deposit match up to $600
New players receive a 100% deposit match up to $600, released in $10 increments as you earn Tide Points at the tables. The release rate works out to roughly 100 Tide Points per $1 of bonus, meaning approximately $10 in rake to clear each $1 increment. The full bonus expires 90 days after your first deposit.
The GGPoker welcome bonus is standard for the industry. Casual players who do not put in significant volume will not clear the full amount. The bonus clears most efficiently at $0.25/$0.50 and above, where hand rates are higher and rake per hand generates Tide Points faster.
E-wallets typically offer the fastest withdrawal speeds. Open a Skrill account or sign up for Neteller to move funds in and out without sharing bank details with the poker room.
Withdrawal Speed
| Method | Processing Time |
|---|---|
| bank | 3-5 business days |
| crypto | 1-24h |
| ewallets | 24-48h |
GGPoker supports card deposits, e-wallets (Skrill, Neteller), and cryptocurrency in most jurisdictions. Processing is instant for cards and e-wallets. Withdrawals to e-wallets process within 24 hours; bank transfers take 3-5 business days. A minimum withdrawal of $20 applies. Fees vary by method and jurisdiction and are disclosed in the cashier.
Loyalty Programme
Ocean Rewards replaced Fish Buffet on January 30, 2026. The programme has eight tiers from Fish (24%) to Shark (80%), with weekly cashback paid as a percentage of rake. You earn 100 Tide Points per $1 in rake, and your tier locks annually based on the highest level reached that year. The structure is transparent compared with the old randomised chest system.
GEMs are a separate currency earned alongside Tide Points. Your GEM multiplier scales with tier (1.5x at Fish, up to 5x at Shark). GEMs redeem in the GGPoker Gems Store for tournament tickets, cash bonuses, and merchandise. Exchange rates improve with volume, making GEMs more valuable at higher tiers.
GGPoker applies a hidden Player Value Index (PVI) multiplier between 0.1 and 1.0 that reduces effective rakeback for winning and high-volume players. Most regulars report receiving 30-60% below their published tier rate. The PVI is not disclosed in the client or on the website. Published percentages are maximums, not guarantees. Factor this into any rakeback projection.

GEMs redeem in the Gems Store for tournament tickets, bonuses, and merchandise. Exchange rates improve as you climb tiers, making high-volume play more rewarding beyond the cashback percentage alone.

Software
The GGPoker desktop client is polished and updated frequently. The lobby is clean and well-organised. Notable features include all-in cashout (lock in a percentage of your EV when all-in before runout), EV cashout, and run it twice, all opt-in and well-implemented. Hand history export is available; HUD use is permitted in most jurisdictions but restricted on anonymous tables.
The mobile app is fully functional for cash games and tournaments, with swipe-to-fold gestures and a functional multi-table view. Sustained volume is playable on mobile. The client is available on iOS and Android.
HUD & Tracking
| HUD Policy | Restricted |
| Anonymous Tables | Yes |
| Hand History Export | Standard format |
| Compatible Trackers | PT4 (limited), HM3 (limited), Smart HUD (built-in) |
| Notes | Third-party HUDs restricted on most table types since 2021. Built-in Smart HUD available. Anonymous tables disable all tracking. |
Traffic & Player Pool
GGPoker runs the deepest player pool outside regulated US markets. Cash game liquidity is consistent across all stake levels from $0.01/$0.02 through $25/$50, with volume peaking during European evenings and Asian mornings. Six-max NLH is the dominant format; PLO has grown significantly since 2022 and now runs reliably from $0.10/$0.25 upward.
Player type composition skews recreational compared with PokerStars and WPT Global, a consequence of GGPoker's sustained investment in acquisition and game health. HUD restrictions and anonymous table options reduce the informational edges available to regulars. The practical effect for a winning player is more favourable field conditions with slightly compressed winrates versus a less-regulated environment.
Tournaments
GGPoker runs one of the heaviest online tournament schedules. The flagship GGMasters on Sundays regularly draws fields above 10,000 entries at the $150 buy-in and has exceeded its $3,000,000 guarantee consistently. Daily events run across all buy-in tiers from $5 through $1,050, with PKO formats dominating the mid-stakes range.
Seasonal series, GGSeries (quarterly) and WSOP online bracelet events (summer), run for two to four weeks and add significant overlay at higher buy-in levels. Satellites into the GGMasters and major series run daily from $1.05 and feed directly.
| Tournament | Buy-in | Guarantee | Format | Schedule |

| GGMasters | $150 | $3,000,000 | Freezeout | Sunday |
| GGMasters High Roller | $525 | $1,000,000 | Freezeout | Sunday |

The Downsides
Rake caps bite at mid-to-high stakes. At $2/$5 and above, GGPoker's caps are meaningfully higher than WPT Global's, a difference that compounds quickly for players putting in serious volume. The rake schedule is built to monetise traffic, not to reward grinders.
Geo-restrictions apply in several regulated markets. US players are excluded from the global client entirely. UK players access a separately licensed GGPoker UK client that does not share liquidity with the global pool, resulting in thinner game selection at certain stake levels.
The recreational-protection model (anonymous tables, restricted HUDs, limited third-party tracking) constrains the informational tools available to regulars. That is a deliberate product decision. Players who depend on database-driven game selection will find GGPoker a more opaque environment than older networks.

Where You Can Play
Global (excludes US)GGPoker accepts players from most countries but does not accept US players.
UK players access a separate GGPoker UK client with smaller player pool. Not available in France, Spain, Italy, or Australia due to licensing restrictions.
