Poker Deposit Options

Crypto, MatchPay, e-wallets, cards, and bank rails.

Every cashier menu looks similar until you use one. A crypto deposit at CoinPoker credits after a single blockchain confirmation and pays back within a day. A check withdrawal from Ignition takes two to four weeks. A Visa deposit at an offshore room may never reach the room at all, because your bank blocks the merchant code first.

This page maps each deposit method to the rooms we review, using the cashier data and processing windows recorded in our March and April 2026 room checks. Start with your country: US players have a shorter list than the menus suggest, because the offshore rooms that accept US traffic run on crypto, cards, and in one case a peer-to-peer system. None of them accept Skrill or Neteller.

Deposit Methods Compared

Method Deposit Withdrawal What it costs Use it when
Crypto Instant after network confirmation 1 hour to 48 hours Blockchain network fee You want the fastest round trip, and you play at a US-facing room
MatchPay Minutes, once your offer matches Same rail, subject to a counterparty No room fee You want to fund in USD without holding crypto. Ozoon only
Skrill and Neteller Instant 12 to 48 hours Set by the room and your region, shown in the cashier You play at a regulated or global room and want fiat that moves fast
Visa and Mastercard Instant when the bank approves it Rarely available as a payout method Possible cash advance fee from your issuer You play at a licensed room in a regulated market
Bank transfer and wire 2 to 5 business days 3 to 7 business days Wire fees at some rooms You are moving a large amount and speed does not matter
Check by mail Not a deposit method 2 to 4 weeks None disclosed Crypto is not an option and you are cashing out of a US-facing room

The withdrawal columns are the published room windows, not our estimates. Rooms differ inside those ranges, and the per-room tables below give the specific figure for each.

Cryptocurrency

Crypto is the default rail at every US-facing offshore room, and the only rail at two of them. Deposits credit after network confirmation, usually inside fifteen minutes. Withdrawals are where the rooms separate.

RedStar BTC 1 to 24 hours Visit RedStar

Two rooms have no fiat path at all. Stake is crypto only: no cards, no bank transfers, no e-wallets. BC Poker runs through an agent instead of a central cashier, so you send coin to your agent's wallet and they credit chips to your club account, and the turnaround depends on how responsive that agent is.

CoinPoker holds every deposit as USDT whichever coin you send. Card deposits there run through a third-party processor with a $1,000 cap and convert to USDT on the way in, so anything larger means buying crypto on an exchange first. The site has no bank transfers.

The deposit bonus can depend on the rail as well. Ignition pays up to 150% on a crypto deposit against 100% on a card, so the method changes the size of the match. Check the Ignition review for current terms before you fund.

If you are picking a room mainly on crypto handling, our crypto poker room comparison ranks the same rooms on rake and bonus value rather than banking alone.

MatchPay and P2P Transfers

MatchPay covers the Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, and Cash App searches, and it is the only honest answer to them in poker. Among the rooms we review, Ozoon is the only one that lists it.

MatchPay is a marketplace, not a payment processor. You post an offer to buy Ozoon balance, a player who wants to cash out takes it, and you pay that person directly by Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, or Cash App. The room escrows the chips and releases them when the payment lands. Your money goes to an individual, and the room's role is holding the balance in the middle.

That structure is what lets it work without crypto, and it is also where the risk sits:

  • Zelle payments to individuals cannot be reversed. There is no buyer protection and no chargeback path if a trade goes wrong.
  • Chase, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo all updated their Zelle terms between 2023 and 2025 to prohibit gambling transactions. A flagged transfer can mean a blocked payment or an account review.
  • Your bank sets the Zelle daily limit, commonly a few hundred to a few thousand dollars, which caps what you can move in a day.
  • Matching needs someone on the other side wanting the opposite trade, so deposits fill faster than withdrawals whenever the player pool is buying.
  • The fiat fallback at Ozoon is a check by mail, and that takes two to four weeks.

Ozoon inherited MatchPay from Bovada, which rebranded to Ozoon in 2026 with the network, player pool, software, and banking unchanged. The Ozoon review covers the cashier in detail, including how MatchPay behaves at withdrawal.

Ignition does not accept MatchPay or Zelle. Ignition and Ozoon share the PaiWangLuo network and the same player pool, which is where the confusion starts, but their cashiers are not identical. Ignition lists crypto and cards. Any page telling you to deposit at Ignition with Zelle is describing Ozoon's cashier and calling it Ignition. ACR, BetOnline, and every other room we review list no P2P option at all.

Skrill and Neteller

Skrill and Neteller are the fiat middlemen for regulated and global poker. You fund the wallet once from your bank or card, then deposit at any room that takes it without handing your bank details to the room. Withdrawals back to the wallet clear in 12 to 48 hours at every room below, faster than any bank rail those rooms offer.

Open an account first, then pick a room: Skrill and Neteller.

Your jurisdiction sets availability, not the room's global menu. Bet365, Unibet, Betsson, and NordicBet are European licences first, and the WebMoney and Qiwi options at RedStar exist for CIS players who cannot reach Western rails.

For US players the gap is total. ACR, Ignition, Ozoon, BetOnline, Black Chip Poker, Stake, and Tiger Gaming list no e-wallets. CoinPoker supports Luxon Pay and nothing else. A US player with a funded Skrill account has nowhere to spend it in poker, which is why crypto and MatchPay carry that traffic instead.

Visa and Mastercard

Cards are listed at most rooms and work reliably at licensed ones. At offshore rooms taking US traffic, the decline rate is the story: US card issuers block gambling merchant codes, so the transaction fails at the bank rather than at the room. Ignition, Ozoon, ACR, BetOnline, and Black Chip Poker all list Visa and Mastercard, and all five see bank-side declines from US players. Tiger Gaming reports the same pattern from European issuers.

A card that does clear still leaves you a one-way trip. None of the US-facing rooms pay winnings back to a card, so a card deposit means a crypto or check withdrawal at the other end. Some issuers also treat a gambling deposit as a cash advance, which carries a fee and interest from the transaction date.

Practical order for a US player: try crypto first, use MatchPay at Ozoon if you would rather not hold coin, and keep the card as a fallback rather than a plan.

Cards deposit and withdraw normally at GGPoker, PokerStars, 888poker, Bet365, Unibet, Betsson, NordicBet, RedStar, and WPT Global, where card withdrawals run one to three business days.

Bank Transfer, Wire, and Check

Slow fiat still has a use: large amounts, and players who want nothing to do with crypto or peer-to-peer trades. Nothing in this section is fast, and the rooms do not present it as fast.

Method Where it works Timing
Bank transfer GGPoker, PokerStars, 888poker, Bet365, Unibet, Betsson, NordicBet, RedStar, WPT Global 2 to 5 business days in, 3 to 7 out
Bank transfer, non-US only ACR, Black Chip Poker 5 to 7 business days
Bank wire BetOnline, Tiger Gaming 5 to 10 business days at Tiger Gaming
Money order BetOnline deposits Set by the mail
Check by mail ACR, Ignition, Ozoon, BetOnline withdrawals 2 to 4 weeks at ACR, Ignition, and Ozoon. 2 to 3 weeks at BetOnline

Check by mail is the only fiat withdrawal option at Ignition and Ozoon, and the main one for US players at ACR. If you deposit by card at any of those rooms and do not want to wait a month for the money back, open a crypto wallet before you cash out rather than after.

Trustly, PayPal, and Apple Pay round out the regulated markets. Trustly is the Nordic standard for bank-linked deposits at Unibet, Betsson, and NordicBet, and it withdraws within 24 hours. PayPal is available at PokerStars, 888poker, Bet365, Betsson, and Unibet depending on the jurisdiction. Apple Pay deposits at PokerStars, 888poker, and Bet365. None of the three reach US-facing offshore rooms.

Responsible Gambling

Deposit friction is worth reading rather than engineering around. If you are opening an exchange account, arranging a peer-to-peer trade, or trying a third card to force a deposit through, the obstacle is doing something useful, and the question worth asking is whether the session is worth that much work.

Set a deposit limit in the cashier before you fund. Most rooms offer daily, weekly, and monthly caps, and setting one costs you nothing on a normal session.

If gambling is causing financial strain, the National Council on Problem Gambling (1-800-522-4700) offers free confidential support 24/7 in the US. GamCare (0808-8020-133) covers the UK.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I deposit at Ignition with Zelle?
No. Ignition's cashier lists cryptocurrency and Visa/Mastercard only. The confusion comes from Ozoon, which shares Ignition's PaiWangLuo network and player pool but runs a different cashier that includes MatchPay, the peer-to-peer system covering Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, and Cash App. If you want to fund a PaiWangLuo account with Zelle, the room is Ozoon.
How does MatchPay work?
MatchPay is a marketplace inside the Ozoon cashier. You post an offer to buy account balance, a player who wants to cash out accepts it, and you pay that person directly by Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, or Cash App. The room holds the chips in escrow and releases them once the payment lands. Because you are paying an individual rather than a business, there is no buyer protection and no chargeback route if a trade goes wrong.
Should a US player use Skrill or crypto?
Crypto, because Skrill is not an option. None of the rooms that accept US traffic list Skrill or Neteller: ACR, Ignition, Ozoon, BetOnline, Black Chip Poker, and Stake all run on crypto and cards, and CoinPoker's only e-wallet is Luxon Pay. Skrill and Neteller matter at the global and regulated rooms such as GGPoker, JackPoker, Bet365, Unibet, and PokerStars.
Why was my card declined at a poker site?
US card issuers block the gambling merchant codes offshore rooms use, so the transaction fails at your bank before the room sees it. Nothing about your account or the room is broken. Crypto is the usual workaround at ACR, Ignition, BetOnline, and Black Chip Poker; at Ozoon, MatchPay funds the account in USD without a card. Some issuers also treat an approved gambling deposit as a cash advance, which adds a fee and interest from the transaction date.
Which poker room pays out fastest?
Stake, at 1 to 15 minutes for most cryptocurrencies. CoinPoker, JackPoker, WPT Global, and RedStar clear crypto withdrawals in 1 to 24 hours. ACR, Ignition, Ozoon, BetOnline, and Black Chip Poker take 24 to 48 hours on crypto. Fiat is slower everywhere: e-wallets run 12 to 48 hours, bank transfers 3 to 7 business days, and a check by mail from Ignition, Ozoon, or ACR takes 2 to 4 weeks.
