GGPoker uses a hidden multiplier called the Player Value Index to adjust how much of your rake counts toward loyalty rewards. PVI ranges from 0.1 to 2.0. Losing and recreational players get higher PVI values. Winning regulars get lower PVI, meaning less of their rake counts toward rakeback.

GGPoker does not disclose your PVI value. It is not visible in the client and can only be estimated by comparing your tracked rake against Tide Points earned. The practical impact: a winning regular at the 50% Ocean Rewards tier who pays $1,000 in actual rake might receive $50–$250 in effective rakeback rather than the $500 the tier suggests.
Ocean Rewards
GGPoker launched Ocean Rewards on January 30, 2026, replacing Fish Buffet. Tiers now lock through year-end instead of resetting monthly, the random spin wheel is gone in favor of fixed cashback rates, and the ceiling is 80% (up from 60%). The tier structure runs from Fish (~16%) up through Shrimp, Crab, Lobster, Seahorse, Dolphin, Octopus, and Shark (80%, requiring roughly $100K in credited rake).
You earn 100 Tide Points per $1 of rake paid, subject to PVI adjustment. A secondary GEMs currency can be exchanged for additional cashback. For recreational players, Ocean Rewards is genuinely better than Fish Buffet. For winning regulars, the PVI adjustment means actual tier progression is slower than the nominal numbers suggest.
