Best Free Poker Apps

Six of the seven biggest free poker apps sell chips. CoinPoker's Play For Fun (released on September 10, 2026) is the only one whose Google Play listing carries neither an in-app purchases badge nor an ads badge.

How the Seven Compare

The ranking runs on chip economics, because a chip store only earns when a player runs out. Installs, ratings and store badges come from each app's Google Play listing as read on September 21, 2026. Google publishes installs in buckets rather than exact counts.

1. CoinPoker Play For Fun

CoinPoker released Play For Fun on Google Play on September 10, 2026. Its listing carries no "In-app purchases" badge and no "Contains ads" badge, and the app asks for no account, no email address and no payment method before seating you.

Free chips arrive on a timer, a 100,000 bonus and a 500,000 daily bonus. Reward Points accrue on every hand and redeem in an in-app store for chips, tournament tickets and cosmetic items.

Five formats run across ring games and tournaments: Texas Hold'em, pot-limit Omaha and all-in or fold, including multi-day events.

It is Android only, with an iOS build listed as coming soon. No deposit is possible from the app and there is no cashier inside it. CoinPoker's real-money room is a separate product with separate terms, reviewed here with the rake, the rewards and the downsides.

2. PokerStars Play

PokerStars Play runs the real-money client with the money taken out. No other free app carries its format range of ten games: Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven Card Stud, Stud Hi-Lo, Razz, 2-7 single draw, 2-7 triple draw, HORSE and 8-Game.

New accounts open with 35,000 chips and refill 15,000 every four hours, with chip packages on sale for anyone who wants to sit higher than the refill supports. Past 10 million installs, it has the pool to keep a Razz table running at most hours.

Its Play Store rating is 2.6, the lowest of the seven and well under the 4.2 to 4.4 band the other chip-selling apps hold. The mid and high play-money stakes are stocked with bought chips. For most readers it is still the app to install, on pool depth and format range.

3. Replay Poker

Replay Poker has run in a browser since 2005 and asks for an email address and a username. Chips come at up to 2,500 a day on a login streak multiplier, with a 2,500 top-up available any time a balance falls below 500 and 10,000 paid on both sides of a referral. PokerNews singles out the standard of play in its review, and the site moderates its tables.

There is no Google Play listing, no iOS app and no Android app, so it runs in the mobile browser after the HTML5 rebuild. That plays fine but gives up notifications and background stability. Tables outside peak hours take time to fill, and the format list stops at Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo and Royal Hold'em.

4. ClubGG

ClubGG is GGPoker's standalone club app at 500,000 installs, free to download and running Hold'em, pot-limit Omaha and Five-Card Omaha across private clubs and public tables. It accepts no deposits and every chip on it is virtual.

Platinum membership costs $49.99 a month, or $600 a year, and competes for more than $200,000 in live tournament tickets every month. It is the only route here from play chips to a real seat.

Most of the activity sits inside clubs, so the free tier is worth whatever the club you join is worth.

5. WSOP Poker

Playtika's WSOP app is the largest free poker product carrying a real tournament brand, at 50 million installs and 4.2 stars, with Hold'em and pot-limit Omaha in cash games and bracelet-themed tournament series.

Players report five to six consecutive prompts on sign-in pushing the website, the chip store and the current promotion, and the heavier accounts describe eight to ten pop-ups to clear before a table opens. Chips are for sale and the app asks about it often.

6. Zynga Poker

Zynga Poker matches WSOP at 50 million installs and rates 4.3, running Hold'em, Omaha, short deck and Pineapple. Tables fill at every stake at every hour, which no other free app manages.

A pool that size, with chips on sale and no consequence attached to a bust, produces preflop all-ins at a rate no real game reaches. A strategy tuned to beat that pool loses money at any stake where chips cost something. Zynga also runs a separate web store paying 20% more chips per dollar than the in-app purchase, alongside a paid Zynga Poker Plus tier.

7. Governor of Poker 3

Governor of Poker 3 wraps Hold'em in a western progression game with missions, unlockable venues and single-player modes sitting alongside the live tables.

Its 4.3 Play Store rating sits well above its reception everywhere else. Trustpilot scores it 1.2, and 42% of its last 49 Steam reviews were positive. Reviewers complain most about the freemium wall: bust out and the choice is a wait timer or a purchase. Several connect their losing streaks to the purchases that preceded them.

Club Apps Run Real Money

PokerBros, PPPoker, X-Poker, Upoker and Pokerrrr 2 are free to download and deal in virtual chips. PokerBros at 500,000 installs and Pokerrrr 2 at a million both carry the same play-money disclaimer the apps above do. The clubs inside them are run by agents who assign a cash value to those chips and settle up outside the app.

That arrangement is unlicensed real-money poker with no regulator, no segregated player funds and no recourse when an agent stops paying. Whether it is legal depends on where you are sitting. What Play Money Teaches

Hand rankings, betting order, pot-limit raise caps, bounty payouts and multi-tabling all transfer to a real game. Bet sizing and bluff frequency do not, because a bet with no cost behind it gets called by any two cards.
