BC Poker takes 5% of each cash game pot, with a cap per hand that depends on the stake. The cap is where most of the difference between stakes comes from. At $0.02/$0.05 the cap is 4 big blinds. At $1/$2 it is 1.5 big blinds, and at $100/$200 it is 0.2 big blinds. On top of that, the VIP ladder returns 10% to 50% of the rake you pay.
This page lists the caps at every NLHE stake, shows how much rake a pot pays before and after it hits the cap, and runs the numbers on what is left after rakeback at a few VIP levels.
BC Poker is closed to players in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Austria, Sweden, China, Macao, Comoros, North Korea, Iran, Myanmar and other FATF-restricted countries. Check your local law before you open an account. Players must be 18 or over.
How BC takes rake in cash games
- Rate: 5% of the pot.
- Cap: a maximum per hand, set by stake and by the number of players dealt in.
- No flop, no drop: a hand that ends preflop pays no rake.
- Weighted contributed: rake is split by how much each player put into the pot, so the player who put in more is credited with more of the rake.
Tournaments and Spins work differently. MTTs charge 10% of the buy-in and Spin & Go charges 7%.
NLHE rake caps by stake
These caps took effect on May 9, 2026. BC's sheet labels the two columns "2-4 pp" and "4+ pp", so a four-handed table sits on the boundary. The table keeps BC's labels, with the old caps in brackets.
| Stakes | Cap, 2-4 players | Cap, 4+ players | 4+ cap in big blinds | Pot size where the 4+ cap kicks in |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $0.02/$0.05 | $0.10 ($0.15) | $0.20 ($0.30) | 4bb | $4 (80bb) |
| $0.05/$0.10 | $0.20 ($0.30) | $0.40 ($0.60) | 4bb | $8 (80bb) |
| $0.10/$0.20 | $0.50 ($0.60) | $1 ($1.20) | 5bb | $20 (100bb) |
| $0.20/$0.50 | $1 ($1.50) | $2 ($2.50) | 4bb | $40 (80bb) |
| $0.50/$1 | $1.50 ($2.50) | $3 ($5) | 3bb | $60 (60bb) |
| $1/$2 | $1.50 ($5) | $3 ($10) | 1.5bb | $60 (30bb) |
| $2/$4 | $3 ($8) | $6 ($16) | 1.5bb | $120 (30bb) |
| $5/$10 | $7.50 ($20) | $15 ($40) | 1.5bb | $300 (30bb) |
| $10/$20 | $12.50 ($20) | $25 ($40) | 1.25bb | $500 (25bb) |
| $25/$50 | $17.50 ($50) | $35 ($100) | 0.7bb | $700 (14bb) |
| $50/$100 | $20 ($50) | $40 ($100) | 0.4bb | $800 (8bb) |
| $100/$200 | $20 ($50) | $40 ($100) | 0.2bb | $800 (4bb) |
The last column is the cap divided by 5%. Any pot bigger than that pays the flat cap. The same caps apply on straddle tables, and buy-ins run from 50bb to 1,000bb.
Every cap went down in May, and the biggest cuts came at $1/$2 and above, where the 4+ cap fell from 5bb or 4bb to 1.5bb or less. Below $1/$2 the cap is 3bb to 5bb, so micro and low stakes players hit the cap less often and pay closer to the full 5% on medium pots.
PLO caps run lower at every stake, and PLO buy-ins are 50bb to 200bb.
| PLO stakes | Cap, 2-4 players | Cap, 4+ players |
|---|---|---|
| $0.02/$0.05 | $0.10 | $0.20 |
| $0.10/$0.20 | $0.20 | $0.40 |
| $0.20/$0.50 | $0.40 | $0.80 |
| $0.50/$1 | $1 | $2 |
| $1/$2 | $2 | $4 |
| $2/$4 | $3 | $6 |
| $5/$10 | $4 | $8 |
| $10/$20 | $7.50 | $15 |
| $25/$50 | $10 | $20 |
| $50/$100 | $12.50 | $25 |
| $100/$200 | $15 | $30 |
Rake per pot at NL5, NL100 and other stakes
The formula:
Rake = the smaller of (pot x 5%) or the cap
The examples below are the formula applied to the 4+ player caps. They are not averages from real hands, and they ignore no-flop-no-drop, where a preflop pot pays $0.
$0.02/$0.05 (NL5), cap $0.20
| Pot | 5% of pot | Rake paid | Rake as % of pot |
|---|---|---|---|
| $1 (20bb) | $0.05 | $0.05 | 5% |
| $4 (80bb) | $0.20 | $0.20 | 5% |
| $10 (200bb) | $0.50 | $0.20 | 2% |
$0.20/$0.50 (NL50), cap $2
BC's table has no $0.10/$0.25 row, so this is the nearest stake to NL25.
| Pot | 5% of pot | Rake paid | Rake as % of pot |
|---|---|---|---|
| $10 (20bb) | $0.50 | $0.50 | 5% |
| $40 (80bb) | $2 | $2 | 5% |
| $100 (200bb) | $5 | $2 | 2% |
$0.50/$1 (NL100), cap $3
| Pot | 5% of pot | Rake paid | Rake as % of pot |
|---|---|---|---|
| $20 (20bb) | $1 | $1 | 5% |
| $60 (60bb) | $3 | $3 | 5% |
| $150 (150bb) | $7.50 | $3 | 2% |
$2/$4 (NL400), cap $6
| Pot | 5% of pot | Rake paid | Rake as % of pot |
|---|---|---|---|
| $80 (20bb) | $4 | $4 | 5% |
| $120 (30bb) | $6 | $6 | 5% |
| $400 (100bb) | $20 | $6 | 1.5% |
At NL5 a 200bb pot still pays 2%. At NL400 a 100bb pot pays 1.5%. The caps protect big pots far more at higher stakes.
Rake per 100 hands
Rake per 100 hands does not follow from the cap table alone, because it depends on how many hands see a flop and how big the pots run. The PrimeDope rake calculator models both from real pot-size distributions. For BC Poker at 6-max NLHE on October 20, 2026, it gives:
| Stakes | Rake per 100 hands | Net rake, as a share of pots played | Rank among 20 rooms |
|---|---|---|---|
| $0.05/$0.10 | $0.74 (7.4bb) | 3.71% | 3rd cheapest |
| $0.25/$0.50 | $3.70 (7.4bb) | 3.65% | 2nd cheapest |
| $1/$2 | $9.63 (4.8bb) | 2.52% | 2nd cheapest |
Net rake sits below the headline 5% because capped pots and preflop pots pay less, and the difference widens at higher stakes where the cap binds on more pots. Compare BC's cost at your own stake against the other 19 rooms in the rake calculator.
How BC's VIP rakeback works
BC pays rakeback through an 18-level VIP ladder. It starts at 10% at Bronze I and goes up to 50% at Royal III.
- Points: every $1 of rake earns 100 tier points. Since July 31, 2026, Sit & Go, Spin & Go and MTT play also earn points.
- Payout: rakeback is paid automatically on days 7, 14, 21 and 28 of the cycle, or right away when you level up.
- No forfeiture: if you do not level up within 30 days, you keep 100% of the rakeback you earned at your current rate.
- Demotion: from Silver I up, if you miss the points needed to hold your level, you drop one level at the start of the next period. Bronze levels never expire.
- Level-up bonuses: each level pays a one-time bonus the first time you reach it, up to $666 at Royal III. You claim it yourself within 30 days of reaching the level.
| Level | Rakeback | One-time level-up bonus |
|---|---|---|
| Bronze I | 10% | $0 |
| Bronze II | 10% | $0.24 |
| Bronze III | 10% | $0.36 |
| Silver I | 11% | $0.72 |
| Silver II | 13% | $1.08 |
| Silver III | 15% | $1.64 |
| Gold I | 17% | $3.36 |
| Gold II | 19% | $4.80 |
| Gold III | 21% | $7.20 |
| Platinum I | 24% | $14.40 |
| Platinum II | 27% | $21.60 |
| Platinum III | 30% | $32.40 |
| Diamond I | 33% | $64.80 |
| Diamond II | 36% | $96 |
| Diamond III | 40% | $144 |
| Royal I | 43% | $288 |
| Royal II | 46% | $450 |
| Royal III | 50% | $666 |
BC's own example: a Gold I player who pays $100 in rake by day 7 gets $17 back on day 7.
BC publishes two different rake thresholds per level, so this page lists none.
Net rake after rakeback
The formula:
Net rake = rake paid x (1 - rakeback %)
Using the capped pots from the examples above:
| Rake paid | 10% (Bronze) | 17% (Gold I) | 30% (Platinum III) | 40% (Diamond III) | 50% (Royal III) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $0.20 (NL5 cap) | $0.18 | $0.17 | $0.14 | $0.12 | $0.10 |
| $2 (NL50 cap) | $1.80 | $1.66 | $1.40 | $1.20 | $1 |
| $3 (NL100 cap) | $2.70 | $2.49 | $2.10 | $1.80 | $1.50 |
| $6 (NL400 cap) | $5.40 | $4.98 | $4.20 | $3.60 | $3 |
| $40 (NL10K cap) | $36 | $33.20 | $28 | $24 | $20 |
Applied to the $3.70 per 100 hands at $0.25/$0.50: 17% returns $0.63 per 100 hands and leaves $3.07, and 30% returns $1.11 and leaves $2.59.

Rakeback lowers the cost of volume and does nothing to the variance of it. A 50% rate at Royal III still leaves every downswing intact. Set a deposit limit in the cashier before you fund, and if gambling is causing financial strain, contact the problem gambling helpline for your country.
