About William Hill Poker

William Hill is one of the oldest bookmakers in the world and has over 80 years of experience in the field. In 2005 William Hill launched its online poker platform and is one the longest-running operators.

There’s always action at the low-stakes cash tables at William Hill which shares the player pool with many other skins in the iPoker Network. The software is incredibly easy to use and very beginner friendly. William Hill offers weekly Jackpot Sit-and-Go Twister races worth up to €1,000.

Non-Hold’em games, high stakes and big tournaments are scarce at William Hill and the Welcome Bonus is on the smaller side, but overall Willliam Hill is a decent choice for recreational players.

William Hill Traffic

Peak cash game traffic of the iPoker Network over the past years.

The chart above shows the average number (over 60 days) of real money cash game players online during peak hours for the operator. This number does not include tournament players or players in other game variants.

William Hill Bonus and Bonus Codes

The William Hill sign-up bonus is weak. With the first deposit new players receive up to £100 and have 45 days to clear the bonus. The bonus clears at a rate of £5 per £35 rake. This is a rather low rate and the bonus amount is minuscule as well.

The Will Hill Bonus comes with six £1 Twister tickets and 10 casino free spins, giving new players a small boost which is nice. But overall the entire bonus is very lackluster and uninviting.

William Hill Rake and Tournament Fees

William Hill is working with the standard iPoker rake model, which is good, but not great. Micro cash games are taxed at 6.67% – quite high, but with a cap of only 50 cents. The higher limits have a lower rake percentage (5%), but significantly higher caps. All stakes past NL50 are capped €4 which is more or less the industry standard these days. It is noteworthy that games and caps are in Euro and thus slightly more expensive than games that are played in Dollars (since 1 Euro is worth more than 1 Dollar).

The tournament fees are roughly 10% across all stakes.

  • Net Rake: This is how much money you actually spend on rake compared to the pots you are playing.
  • Formal Rake: Rake percentage and cap
  • Rank: This column shows how the operator compares to all other operators (lower is better).
